New Mexico Voices for Children
worked with the
Santa Fe Birth to Career Collaboration
and the
Mayor’s Children, Youth and Families Community Cabinet
to design and conduct a research study to
assess the current landscape, gaps and opportunities for educational attainment, career pathways, and workforce development programs, policies and initiatives in Santa Fe
. Key populations of interest include
disconnected youth and low-income/low-skilled adults
.
Study findings will be used to
facilitate discussions among all collaborative partners and community stakeholders toward developing an integrated and strategic action plan
that includes engagement of the business community, alignment of education programs to meet workforce needs, development of public/private funding, and approaches to improve economic security, particularly for disconnected youth and low-skilled adults and working families in Santa Fe.
