Objective 3.1: Support the development of a shared understanding of readiness with parents and across early childhood services systems

Work plan

• Representatives from City Head Start, school system leaders, Early Childhood nonprofits, parochial school systems, and family members form work group to identify: expectations for school readiness, ways systems measure readiness (assessments, screening, etc.)
• Workgroup shares information and capacity for continued work to improve readiness among children living in neighborhoods lacking resources

Performance Indicators

• Number of early childhood providers identified and convened (Head Start, schools, daycare, etc.)
• Number of early childhood providers continuing participation
• Usage of  common definitions of readiness and common measures
• Number of Early Childhood providers willing to continue shared dialogue into the second year
