Disc Golf Course Maintenance, repair, or improvements. At times during the year, one of the existing disc golf courses may need some maintenance work or repair. The Discalibur Club may pay for the repair or raise a little money for the material. Many times Discalibur members volunteer for the work.
Disc Golf Tournaments, for the 2009 calendar year there were two events. National tournaments managed by Discalibur Disc Golf Club (affiliated with the Professional Disc Golf Association PAGE) . The purpose is to promote interest-in the sport of disc golf, to educate amateur players by introducing them to disc golf tournament play. Entry fees are collected for players wishing to play in the tournament. Amateurs who play well receive merchandise as prizes, professional players receive cash prizes. During these tournaments there may be special contests used to raise money for a local charity
Special events to collect money for charity There maybe special one day tournaments held during the year to help raise money for a local charity. Examples may be the Ice Bowl or the World's Biggest tournament. Discalibur members or the Discalibur Club may donate discs or other items in order to raise money for charity. Examples of a local charity may be the Brevard County Food Bank or to the Wildlife Hospital in some cases the money may go to a Discalibur member who passed away or to a Discalibur member who is ill.
Sunday League Play This is one round of disc golf. People are paired up in a random fashion. Scores are handicapped based on the results of previous rounds therefore anyone can win Players fees are collected, part of these are membership dues, part goes towards an Ace fund of a player wishes to take part) , and part is for a prize fund. People who play better than their handicap may win prizes. All Ace fund money collected is paid out if a hole in one is hit.
